Teaching Philosophy
It doesn’t matter if we are old or young — we’re always learning something new everyday. More often than not, we are also going to struggle and become frustrated as we learn new content. It is an undeniable fact of the learning process. Every time we learn, we are adjusting to new ways of thinking, challenging long held habits and attempting to think outside the box in order to get new ideas across. This continuous struggle that we experience through the learning process can be best described as “growing pains”. As an educator, it is our job to help our students face these “growing pains head on and to overcome them. We provide the skills and tools necessary for students to build upon their prior knowledge and expand their skillsets that can be applied to across various content areas as well as their daily lives.
